Volcan Arenal





In a recent trip to Costa Rica we had the opportunity to visit a famous, still active, volcano. Though “resting” during our stay, there was usually a puff of smoke emitting from it’s top. The gardens at the charming hotel where we stayed had many flowers and we had an unobstructed view of Arenal from our bungalow. In this painting I tried to capture the lush foliage and color of the Costa Rican landscape.
